coaching with me
“I highly recommend working with Vix. Her approach feels like a wonderful marriage between intuitive and pragmatic. She will listen with her whole self to your whole self. In her, you'll find a knowledgable and wise practitioner who will work with you with both kindness and an excellent BS radar!”
— Rowena Gerrett, Coach and Facilitator
It’s not just you. Things are horrible, and the world is a mess.
But you’re not broken; you’re responding to a broken system.
"I should be further along by now."
"Why can’t I just get it together?"
"Nothing I do will make a difference."
You’re not alone. Many of us are internalising the pressure of a world that rewards disconnection, overwork, and relentless striving.
And if you’re here, maybe some part of you is craving another way: one that honours your full humanity and recognises that your personal challenges aren’t separate from the wider systems we live in.

How I Work
I offer eco-somatic coaching: a body-based approach that integrates somatic awareness, nature connection, and relational practice. This means our work together will help you reconnect with yourself and support your reconnection with the living world and a deeper sense of belonging in these uncertain times.
At the heart of my practice is a belief that the metacrisis we are facing — ecological collapse, social fragmentation, economic injustice — stems from disconnection: from our bodies, from each other, and from the more-than-human world.
My work is my response.
This work is for you if you’re someone who cares deeply about people, about the planet, about doing good work in a way that feels aligned. Maybe you’re holding a lot and feeling stretched thin. Perhaps you feel lost about how to respond. Maybe you’re tired of doing it all alone. If you’re yearning for more clarity, connection, or courage, you might just be in the right place.
Together, we’ll explore how to:
Slow down and listen to the innate wisdom of your body and the bodies of the more-than-human world;
Find meaningful direction through your inner compass, not external pressure;
Trust and follow the aliveness of what’s yours to do in these times;
Reclaim your rhythms, rest, and relationships as acts of resilience and rebellion.
My Training + Scope of Practice
Like many of my clients, I’m something of a learning junkie. You can find all my qualifications here, and I’m regularly engaged in my professional development.
I work with clients to:
Nurture their embodied resilience through trauma-informed practices;
Develop embodied awareness and range to support desirable changes in behaviour and perspectives;
Connect more deeply with themselves, their innate rhythms and cycles, and the people and natural world around them.
I regularly participate in Coaching Supervision as well as engaging in coaching and therapy to support me in upholding high standards in my practice. I proactively seek and respond to feedback from my clients about our coaching dynamic.
Coaching isn’t therapy nor a substitute for it. Coaching requires a base level of psychological safety that may be difficult to access if you are experiencing mental health issues or unresolved trauma. If you need to choose between coaching and therapy, I recommend you choose therapy and I can suggest some wonderful practitioners. Many of my clients continue to have therapy alongside coaching with me.
“Vix is able to cut right through the noise to get to the heart of the issue.
She was supportive and challenging in the right measure, and always listens and notices very attentively.”
— Sara P.
Change Is Possible
I believe we can do big, bold things in the world and make a difference to those around us without sacrificing our needs or our humanity along the way.
I don’t believe in prescriptive frameworks or one-size-fits-all models. That said, these four themes show up across the work I do, as recurring touchstones.
My hope is for you to embody your innate wisdom and power, reconnecting you with your natural flow, intelligence and creativity.
I believe you’re already enough. You don't have to change yourself to change your life. Self-improvement isn't necessary. Use the time and energy to go after your dreams and change the world instead.
Something in you already knows the answer. Your body is an insightful and untapped teacher. Perfectionism, over-striving, and overthinking all take you out of your body and desensitise you to the wisdom you already have. Get out of your head and the endless paralysis-by-analysis by learning to tune in and trust your own nature.
Isolation is a dream killer. Sure, you could do it all by yourself but gritting your teeth and getting on with it can’t replace encouragement, different perspectives and accountability. You need input and support from other people. They'll tell you things you need to know, encourage and believe in you and keep you moving toward your goal. You’ll even enjoy it more.
Your pace is perfect. Only you know what the right speed for you is. Stop comparing your life to what other people are doing; it’s not a race. Tune into your own rhythm; dance to your own beat. It’s better to take many small steps in the right direction than take a giant leap forward, only to stumble backwards.

Why is Eco-Somatic Coaching different?
Most personal development stays in the head. But in a world that has prioritised intellect over intuition and control over connection, we need approaches that bring us back into our bodies and into relationship with the living world around us.
Embodiment, simply put, is how we are. It’s how we relate to the world and we show up. It’s the way we express ourselves, through our character, behaviour and posture. It’s how we are sensitive to ourselves, others and the world around us. Embodiment is more than being in the body; it’s feeling through the body. It’s the simplest and most direct path to self-awareness, transformation and wise action.
And yet, it’s not just our bodies we need to be in connection with.
Ecotherapy brings us back into relationship with nature as not just a resource, but a teacher and companion. By focusing on relationality and interdependence, ecotherapy helps us remember we are not alone in the world. It gives us tools to listen differently, seeding reciprocity so that we might confront our role in ecological and climate collapse and reclaim our capacity to grieve for the world we’re part of.
Eco-somatic coaching integrates both: the body as guide, and nature as mirror. Eco-somatic practices are a gateway to recognising and challenging the perceptual roots of the metacrisis and reimagine our humanity and our future.
Eco-somatic coaching allows you to access your body’s natural intelligence and get a new perspective when your particular way of doing smart has hit a wall and you’re stuck in old patterns of thinking and behaviour. To put it simply, this is less about thinking your way through a problem and more about feeling your way through. It’s a ‘bottom-up’ approach rather than a ‘top-down’ way of dealing with challenges.
Eco-somatic coaching wakes up your innate human capacity for choice. Once you are aware of what you are doing as you do it, you have the opportunity to choose among the various options of what to do and how to do it.
“I’ve gained so much from working with Vix in a more embodied way. I now have a sense of trust in myself and in my body. It feels dramatic to say that I've never felt like that way before but it's true! I’m much more aware of what my body is telling me and more confident in following its guidance. That’s been helping me make better decisions and find more kindness towards myself. I trust myself to take a break when I need to, rather than forcing myself to do things no matter how I’m feeling. It feels corny to say, but I really feel like my authentic self is coming through. I feel liberated. I have this sense of self-acceptance and it feels easier to be myself, which has been a big shift for me and one I am very appreciative of.”
— Debbie Lee, Business Mentor

I also bring with me…
15 years of leadership and operational experience in the military and international development sector, often working in high-risk, high-pressure environments.
8 years of self-employment as a multi-potentialite. While coaching and facilitating are now my main focus, I’ve managed a portfolio career across multiple interests including DEI consultancy, operational management and security, and women’s rights in conflict zones.
7 years of teaching, coaching and mentoring solopreneurs, small business owners, and coaches.
2 years diving deep into the world of collapse, the metacrisis and systems thinking, and I’m currently studying for an MA in Anthropology of Global Futures and Sustainability at SOAS Univeristy of London as I continue to ask what it means to be human in these times.
A lifetime of perfectionism and over-striving that I’m slowly and surely recovering from.
When you work with me, you are welcome to tap into any of my experiences alongside receiving coaching.
“Working with Vix has been nothing short of transformative.

What to Expect in a coaching session
Each session begins by getting clear on your current challenge or inquiry; some clients have something very specific they want to work with (anything from relationship struggles, work stress, lack of creativity to feeling disconnected from yourself and others); others prefer to work with whatever’s present for them in that moment. I’ll guide you in identifying a clear intention for our time together - whether that's cultivating more self-confidence, learning to set boundaries, tapping into decision-making wisdom or simply getting in touch with a deeper part of yourself.
We work predominantly with your felt sense - the subtle physical sensations, intuitions and imagery that convey insight about a situation or challenge you face. Don’t worry if you struggle to connect to your body and have no idea what ‘felt sense’ really means - we’ll figure that out together.
A session may involve talking, movement, posture, breathing and archetypal poses to bring more embodied awareness to your patterns and to identify practices to help you develop more range and more choice for how you engage with the world. At times, I’ll invite you into connection with the more-than-human world around you; you can choose to be indoors or outside for any of our sessions. You'll leave with practical exercises and tools tailored to your individual needs and growth that become tools you can use in daily life. These practices help anchor the inner shifts, allowing you to actualise more joy, creativity and meaning.
Even after a single session, many clients notice a quiet but profound shift: a new sense of possibility, or a deeper layer of trust in themselves. You gain deeper self-awareness, opening the door to create a life infused with your unique gifts. You’ll learn to trust your felt sense more and be able to make more empowered, more intentional choices to live authentically, aligned to your values and rhythms, and amplify your success and satisfaction.
“Vix's experience and practice cover a huge spectrum from head to heart-based work and living. She encourages exploration of the whole person, enabling us to access all that we might be capable of. I had been stuck in my head for a long time, missing out on body-based feelings and emotional literacy for both myself and my coaching clients. My sessions were often on the edge of my comfort zone - and rightly so! I also found them fun, revelatory and energising.
I’ve now incorporated embodied practices into my daily routines, which allows me to respond to what my body is telling me in the moment in day-to-day life.”
