belonging to the earth

An invitation to remember

Tuesday  • 24th June  •  9.30am in London •  4.30pm in Bali

The pace of modern life can pull us away from our bodies, our breath, and the living world around us. It’s easy to forget that we belong to our bodies, to the Earth, and to something much older and wiser than the scroll of our daily lives. This workshop is an invitation to come home to the quiet, steady truth that you already belong here.

Belonging to the Earth is a gentle, experiential session exploring how we might reconnect with the more-than-human world through simple practices of awareness, embodiment, and reciprocity.

This isn’t about escaping into nature or romanticising the wild. It’s about noticing what’s already here: how the ground holds you, how sunlight finds your skin, how the breath moves through your body. And letting that noticing change something in you.

You don’t need to be an expert in ecology or meditation. You only need a body, a willingness to pay attention, and perhaps a longing to remember what it feels like to be held.

Who This Workshop Is For

This workshop is for anyone longing for a deeper sense of connection with the Earth, with your own body, and with something bigger than yourself.

If you often feel rushed, ungrounded, or disconnected from nature, or even from your own inner world, this space is for you.

You might:

  • Spend a lot of time indoors or online, and miss the feeling of being in touch with the natural world.

  • Feel tender, overwhelmed, or like you’ve been carrying a lot lately.

  • Be craving a moment of stillness, presence, and gentle reconnection.

You don’t need to live in the wilderness or have hours for forest walks. This is about discovering how belonging in the more-than-human world is always available, even in the smallest ways: through a breeze, a plant on your windowsill, the sound of birds, or the feel of your breath.

What to Expect

This is not a lecture. It’s a participatory experience where you’ll be gently guided through practices and invited to reflect, notice, and share (if you wish).

You’ll need a quiet-ish space, something to sit or lie on comfortably, and a way to connect with a being in the more-than-human world (even just the sky outside your window, a houseplant, or a stone you picked up - your imagination counts too).

I encourage your active participation, but that doesn't mean you have to perform presence or have your camera on the whole time. You’ll get the most from this if you’re willing to be present, curious, and engaged. This isn’t one of those things to have on in the background while you do something else.

There'll be opportunities for sharing and reflection in pairs, small groups and the whole group. A recording will be made available to anyone who attends and completes a short feedback form within 24 hours.

Belonging to the Earth is part of a series of free workshops I’m offering exploring themes of connection, resilience, and authenticity in uncertain times. These sessions are offered as gifts, because I believe we shouldn't have to pay for everything. This particular session will form part of my assessment at the end of my training in eco-therapy.
