When Hope Isn’t Enough
What’s Yours To Do?

We live in challenging times.
Strengthen and nurture your capacity to make a difference.

Saturday 26th April  •  online •  £30

Another day, another news story about the climate crisis, social oppression, genocide...it's no wonder so many of us are finding it hard to watch.

The weight of that pain can be crushing, leaving you caught between despair and the false hope that someone else will step in and fix everything. Maybe you’ve felt the weight of uncertainty, the frustration of wanting to act but not knowing where to begin.

When Hope Isn’t Enough is a 2-hour workshop designed to help you move through big emotions, reconnect with possibility, and uncover what’s yours to do in these times. Through guided reflection, deep listening, and connection with others, you’ll move from overwhelm to clarity, transform uncertainty into grounded action, and cultivate the resilience needed to stay engaged in these times.

What You’ll Experience

  • A structured process to help you acknowledge and explore your feelings without getting stuck in them.

  • A space to explore both grief and possibility, despair and action.

  • Connection with like-minded people who are also asking, what now?

  • Tangible, grounded next steps, no matter how small, to align your life with what matters most.

This Workshop Might Be For You, If

  • You feel overwhelmed by the state of the world and don’t know where to start.

  • You’re seeking a way to move forward with clarity, rather than feeling stuck in fear or numbness.

  • You want to engage with hope, not as wishful thinking, but as something active and alive.

  • You long for a space to connect with others who care deeply about these times.

Why This Approach Works

The workshop is rooted in Active Hope, a framework developed by Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone. It integrates reflection, connection, and action to help us navigate uncertainty with resilience and agency. Woven through the Active Hope spiral are elements of authentic relating, deep listening, and embodied practices to support integration and clarity.

Past participants have described how this process helped them shift from paralysis to clarity, finding small but meaningful ways to take action in their lives. One participant shared that they came in feeling overwhelmed and left with a renewed sense of purpose and direction.

What Past Participants Have Said

💬 “I became most emotional not by what pains me, but by what inspires me - this was surprising. I now know where to focus my energy and found clarity.”

💬 “Such a powerful exercise in listening – to ourselves and what lights us up, and to others through repeating what we heard, felt. The depth of connection in such a short time was incredible.”
